The BID 4.0 NEUER WALL

Neue Wall celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2020 as Germany's first inner-city business improvement district. Even today, Neue Wall manages to live up to its reputation as a luxury shopping mile in Hamburg thanks to its constantly growing attractiveness. Likewise, with the establishment of a 4th term, Neue Wall showed that the street can only continue to develop positively through strong cohesion among all stakeholders. The post-pandemic period is being faced with hope and courage with new goals and ideas. Innovative marketing and design measures, as well as the improvement of our service and cleaning services, contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the BID.

Actively shaping the future

The urban measure of the traffic-free redesign of the Jungfernstieg poses new challenges for the tenants and property owners of Neuer Wall. The BID will therefore actively participate in the development of a vision and a utilisation concept for the public space, especially for the affected northern section of Neuer Wall. The close and intensive cooperation with other BIDs will be further promoted, especially in the context of the cross-area event Hamburgs Sommergärten and other communication and online campaigns. Cooperation and exchange of experiences among each other contribute to an upgrading of the entire Hamburg city centre and make a visit to it an experience for Hamburg residents and tourists.
